Your Opportunity To Comment On New First Aid Guidance From HSE

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) consulted late last year on proposals to amend the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 (the 1981 Regulations). This was in response to Professor Ragnor Lofstedt’s recommendation in his review of health and safety legislation Reclaiming health and safety for all: an independent review of health and safety legislation to remove the requirement for HSE to approve first aid training and qualifications.

This consultation, CD251 – A consultation on proposed new guidance on the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 (as amended); seeks views on the content of revised guidance to help duty holders decide on appropriate arrangements for the provision of first aid at the business.
